Willard’s appreciation of sporting greats inspired him to make arguably one of the most famous and celebrated creative footballers of the modern era. Willard’s depiction of Cristiano Ronaldo, within the eye of a tiny sewing needle, shows him in his “trade mark” goal scoring stance with his shirt removed.
 
After meeting the Mayor of Portugal and being given an open invite to return and exhibit in Portugal, Willard dedicated this sculpture to his visit to this beautiful Country and one of their infamous celebrities.
 
This piece took a little over 3 months to complete, it is made from micro shavings of Kevlar and Nylon then painted using Willard’s own eyelash and oil paints.
 
This piece will be mounted and enjoyed within a bespoke magnifying display.
